Evangelos Angelopoulos works with IF under a permanent cooperation agreement. Evangelos is a strategic associate of IF and provides over his wide technical and advisory background mature technology solutions to meet the demanding needs of IF’ clientele. He holds a bachelor and a master in Telecommunications from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering School from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a PhD in Telecommunications from the National Technical University of Athens. During his diploma thesis he developed a Scanning Tunneling Microscope used to probe structures in the subatomic level, while his PhD was dedicated to the design and development of planar multiband and ultrawideband antennas for wireless applications. He has published more than 15 articles in international peer reviewed journals and conferences.
Dr. Angelopoulos has lobbied, prepared and coordinated a wealth of diverge FP6 and FP7 research collaborations spanning from nanotechnology to ICT technologies and from wireless systems to satellite technologies. He has a highly successful record in regional and interegional projects and has been appointed technical advisor in the Ministry of Communications where he supported the General Secretary of Communications to successfully deliver various tenders stemming from the 3rd structural funds. Recently he was appointed technical advisor of the Prefecture of Lefkada Island to prepare and maturate the administration towards the preparation of new service oriented tenders financed from the 4th structural funds. Dr. Angelopoulos has been technology consultant in various Greek start-ups and has partnered with Interfusion with the aim to empower the development and advisory talent of the rest of the team.
